1.Sonic Frontiers - Nintendo Switch
A platform game from 2022 called Sonic Frontiers[a] was created by Sonic Team and released by Sega. After Sonic and his buddies are split up by falling through a wormhole, the player takes control of Sonic and explores the Starfall Islands to gather the Chaos Emeralds. The first open environment in the series, Frontiers incorporates classic Sonic the Hedgehog themes including platforming, rings, and grind rails. Players can solve puzzles, battle robotic foes, and access "Cyber Space" stages modelled by earlier Sonic games while exploring the wide universe.
2.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge - Nintendo Switch
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is a beat 'em up game published by Dotemu and developed by Tribute Games. It is inspired by and based on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, and stylistically borrows from Konami's arcade and home console Turtles games from the 1980s and 1990s. The game was released on June 16, 2022 for Windows, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and on November 15, 2022 for PlayStation 5. Netflix will release a version for iOS and Android mobile devices in early 2023.
The Turtles voice actors from the 1987 series return. Tee Lopes composed the music, with help from guitarist Jonny Atma, rappers Mega Ran, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon, and singer Mike Patton. Shredder's Revenge received generally positive reviews, with critics praising the pixel-based visual style, playable character roster, and combat mechanics while criticising audio quality issues and the story mode's short length. The game was also a commercial success, selling a million copies in the first week.
3.Pokémon Violet - Nintendo Switch
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are role-playing video games released in 2022 for the Nintendo Switch by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. They are the first instalments in the Pokémon video game series' ninth generation. They were first announced in February 2022 and were released on November 18, 2022.
Scarlet and Violet, unlike previous instalments in the Pokémon franchise, take place in an open world. The games are held in the Paldea region of the Iberian Peninsula. The player can choose between three different stories. Scarlet and Violet introduce 103 new Pokémon, as well as two new regional forms and the Terastal phenomenon, which allows a Pokémon to transform into its unique Tera Type. The games also include elements from previous modern Pokémon games, such as large open areas and Pokémon that appear in the overworld.
Critics gave Scarlet and Violet mixed reviews. The games were praised for their open world formula and story, while their graphics and technical issues were criticised at launch. The games sold over 10 million copies in the first three days, making them Nintendo's most successful launch ever.
